I’m proud of how far you’ve come, Anna. Your mental strength has overcome your physical limitations. You’ve got this.

I know what it feels like when time slows down. I experienced it during shock and grief, when pain consumed all my attention. Nothing else was strong enough to pull my focus away from it. As the days passed and I made a conscious effort to step back into life, becoming more open to experience again, time gradually began to move faster.

Now, I consciously choose to slow time down so I can be more present.

Thank you so much for sharing. I’m happy you were with me from the beginning of my desire to map time, to understand how we can feel its shifting shape. All my love to the inspiration that it you…x

thank you for sharing this with us. it's comforting to know that I'm not alone. that seems like a jerky thing to feel, considering it means someone else is in pain. I think what is comforting is to see that it is possible to experience this and to overcome it. also to see it expressed so clearly is helpful.

at a certain point I told myself that I was going to carry on no matter what pain was there, and it seems to be working. it turns out that realizing you are going to die soon-ish is a better motivator than pain? definitely taking time to just sit with the pain has helped as well.

Hi Kevin, thanks so much for sharing your experience as well. I think there is a time in the cycle of pain where you just realize that to break it, we must accept moving on with it and that there may be no end to it but there is still so much beauty worthy of experiencing if we choose to see it that way.
